As a Kennel Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care for our furry friends. Your responsibilities will include assisting with animal handling, providing basic veterinary care, and maintaining a clean and safe environment for the animals.Duties:- Provide daily care and feeding for animals in the kennel- Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and common areas- Assist with bathing and grooming of animals- Administer medications as directed by veterinary staff- Monitor the health and well-being of animals and report any concerns to the team- Assist with animal restraint during examinations and procedures- Walk dogs and provide exercise and playtime- Assist with basic training exercises for dogs- Maintain accurate records of animal care and treatmentsQualifications:- Previous experience as a veterinary assistant or in a similar animal care role preferred- Knowledge of basic animal care and handling techniques- Ability to handle animals with patience, compassion, and confidence- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written- Ability to work effectively in a team environment- Ability to think and problem solve and work independently is neededBenefits:- Opportunities for career advancement within the dog training field- Ongoing training and professional development opportunitiesInternship positions are available but must be 18 years or older and sign a liability waiver or have your parents or guardians sign the waiver on your behalf.If you have a passion for working with animals and providing exceptional care, we would love to hear from you.
