Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Kennel Technician/Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals and possess knowledge in animal care and handling. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with animals in a professional setting.
Responsibilities:
– Provide daily care and support for animals in the kennel facility
– Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within the kennel area
– Monitor and record animal behavior and health status
– Assist with feeding, grooming, medicating and exercise routines for animals
– Interact with pet owners and provide updates on their pets’ well-being
– Assist veterinarians with patients
Requirements:
– Knowledge of animal physiology, anatomy, and husbandry practices
– Familiarity with veterinary critical care procedures is a plus
– Ability to handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments
– Strong attention to detail and observational skills
– Previous experience in pet sitting or animal care roles is advantageous
– Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
