OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and welfare, providing a safe and nurturing environment for dogs, horses, sheep, chickens and other animals. This role involves working closely with animals, ensuring their well-being, and assisting in various tasks related to their care.8am – 6pm with 2 hours of breaksPaid training – if you love dogs, and can be a reliable worker, we will train you!DutiesProvide daily care for animals in the kennel, including feeding, watering, and exercising pets.Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas by performing regular cleaning duties.Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff.Support dog training sessions by implementing basic commands and techniques.Engage with pet owners to provide excellent customer service and communicate their pets’ needs.Assist in grooming tasks such as bathing and brushing pets when required.Handle heavy lifting associated with moving supplies or larger animals safely.RequirementsPrevious experience in a kennel environment is preferred, but not required.
