Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the care and well-being of animals in our kennel facility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals and possess the skills necessary to provide excellent care while ensuring a safe and clean environment for all pets.
Responsibilities
Provide daily care for dogs and other animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising.
Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas by performing regular cleaning tasks.
Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to the veterinary staff.
Assist with pet grooming as needed, ensuring each animal is well-groomed and comfortable.
Provide exceptional customer service to pet owners during drop-off and pick-up times.
Handle dogs safely and effectively, ensuring their comfort and safety during interactions.
Support veterinary staff with basic tasks as required, including assisting with treatments or medications.
Maintain accurate records of animal care activities and any special instructions from pet owners.
Experience
Previous experience in pet care or kennel environments is preferred but not required.
Skills in pet grooming, dog training, or veterinary assistance are highly valued.
Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary, including moving large dogs or equipment.
Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners and address their needs.
Experience in dog handling or pet sitting is a plus, contributing to a well-rounded skill set for this role.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 – $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
