Kennel Technician
Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate PM Kennel Technician to join our team. This is an afternoon position, no mornings or evenings. As a Kennel Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing top-notch care and support to the animals in our facility. This position is ideal for individuals who have a passion for animal welfare and thrive in a dynamic work environment.
Pay is competitive and commensurate with experience.
Staff are compensated weekly for the prior Sunday through Saturday.
Additionally, all tips received are distributed among staff members on a weekly basis. Staff makes an average of $1 to $2 additional each hour worked

Responsibilities:
– Ensure the safety and well-being of animals in the kennel facility
– Engage animals in playtime activities and provide necessary exercise
– Maintain cleanliness by regularly sanitizing kennels, play areas, and communal spaces
– Monitor animal behavior closely to prevent conflicts or aggressive incidents
– Keep detailed records of each animal’s activities, behavior, and special instructions from owners
Skills:
To excel in this role, you should have the following skills:
– Experience in animal handling, preferably in settings like veterinary clinics or shelters
– Knowledge of animal care practices or eagerness to learn
– Strong customer service skills to interact effectively with pet owners
– Ability to collaborate well within a team environment
– Familiarity with basic grooming techniques is advantageous
– Prior experience as a kennel attendant, pet groomer, or veterinary technician is preferred
– Capability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) when required
