Job Description
Join our team as a Kennel Technician, where you will contribute to enhancing the palatability of pet food. This role involves working directly with cats and dogs, ensuring their well-being, and maintaining a clean and organized facility. You will not be required to interact with customers, focusing solely on animal care.
Responsibilities
Maintain kennels and facility areas.
Ensure the facility is organized, sanitized, and free of odors.
Feed cats and dogs on schedule.
Ensure animals have access to clean water.
Use provided pet toys to play and socialize with animals.
Bathe and groom animals.
Prepare pet food for scheduled feedings.
Weigh leftover food and dispose of it accordingly.
Maintain documentation on dogs and cats and update this information as needed.
Foster a supportive and collaborative environment.
Provide exceptional animal care.
Essential Skills
Animal research
Animal handling
Animal science
Experience with large groups of animals
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
H.S. Diploma required
6 months or more of animal care experience in a veterinary environment, kennel, or shelter
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $39520.00 – $42120.00/yr.
