Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and welfare, ensuring that all pets receive the highest standard of attention and care. This role involves working closely with various animals, primarily dogs, in a kennel environment, providing essential services that promote their health and well-being.
Duties
Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising.
Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff or management.
Assist with animal restraint during grooming or veterinary procedures as needed.
Support dog training initiatives by reinforcing positive behaviors and commands.
Engage in pet sitting duties when required, ensuring pets are comfortable and secure.
Collaborate with team members to create a positive atmosphere for both pets and clients.
Experience
Previous experience in pet care or kennel environments is preferred but not mandatory.
Familiarity with pet grooming techniques is a plus.
Knowledge of basic veterinary practices or experience as a veterinary technician is advantageous.
Skills in dog handling, animal restraint, and dog training will be beneficial for this role.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger breeds or transporting supplies.

We are a FAST paced environment. You must have open availabilty and be comfortable with all sizes and breeds of dogs. Holidays and weekends are a must. 4 days in, 3 days off to make full time.
