Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess the necessary skills to provide a safe and nurturing environment for pets. As a Kennel Technician, you will be responsible for the daily care of animals in our facility, ensuring their well-being and comfort while also providing excellent customer service to pet owners.
Responsibilities
Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising dogs and other pets.
Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment.
Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff or management.
Assist with animal restraint during veterinary procedures or grooming sessions as needed.
Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ needs and behaviors.
Support the team in maintaining accurate records of animal care and treatment.
Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and concerns from pet owners in a friendly manner.
Requirements
Previous experience in animal handling or pet care is preferred but not required.
Strong knowledge of dog handling techniques and animal behavior is highly desirable.
Ability to perform basic animal restraint techniques safely and humanely.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
Experience in veterinary settings or as a veterinary technician is a plus.
A genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare is essential.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.50 – $16.50 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
