We are urgently seeking hard-working, self-motivated, and passionate dog lovers to join our pack as Kennel Technician to help us carry out daily tasks associated with doggie daycare, boarding and grooming guests! Our Kennel Technicians are responsible for our Boarding and Daycare department. A Kennel Technician’s main responsibility is the daily care of all animals at The Lodge for Pampered Pets. This includes proper cleaning and disinfecting of all rooms to provide a healthy environment for the animals in our care as well as providing our animals with love, compassion, daily exercise, and enrichment. A Kennel Technician also accepts tons of slobbery kisses as an added bonus! You will be responsible for maintaining a fun, safe, and enriching environment for all our canine guests! This position requires comfort with all sizes and breeds of dogs, as well as comfort in managing large playgroups. We offer a friendly, welcoming work environment with a strong team of dedicated canine lovers! We require reliable individuals that have a positive attitude, good work ethic, and a willingness to roll up their sleeves and get dirty! The position is physically demanding and requires you to be on your feet for long periods of time. A successful candidate will be a significant canine lover, pays attention to detail, maintains high standards for sanitation and cleanliness, has ability to multitask, manage time, and adapt to change.
Job responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Providing a fun safe environment for guests
Ensuring safety of guests by following facility policies
Bathing/nail trims
Always being punctual and willing to learn
Cleaning and sanitizing fecal and urine accidents
Deep cleaning of kennels and facility as needed
Launder any soiled guest or facility beds, blankets, or toys
Following feeding/medication protocols for guests
Managing group play and one-on-one playtime with guests
Performing other duties as assigned
Take pictures of guests during playtime
We provide training to learn the skills needed to provide premiere care to our guests. Pay is negotiable with previous kennel experience.
Requirements:
Reliable transportation
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Willing to work Holidays, Weekends & On Call as required
The Lodge has shifts Mon – Sat 6:30am-12 and 3-7pm, and Sun 6:30am-12 and 2-7pm
Required to be available to work every other weekend
Physical ability to be on your feet for long periods of time

Shifts are from 6:30am-12pm & 3pm-7pm Monday- Saturday / 6:30am-12pm & 2pm-7pm Sundays. 365 days per year. Doubles, Weekends & Holidays included. For the comfort and well being of our guests and clients, we cannot deviate from the shifts listed. Are you able to work for the shifts listed in this description?
The Lodge for Pampered Pets is open 365 days a year, including weekends and holidays. A double shift would consist of working 6:30am-12pm & 3pm-7pm. A double shift may be scheduled 1-2 times per week. Are you willing to work 1-2 double shifts per week?
The Lodge for Pampered Pets is open 365 days a year, including weekends and holidays. We ask employees for 2 weekend per month availability (every other weekend). Are you available to work 2 weekends a month?
The Lodge for Pampered Pets is open 365 days a year, including weekends and holidays. The lobby is closed on Major holidays – New Years Day, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving & Christmas Day. The lobby is open for all other holidays, including Halloween, Christmas Eve & New Years Eve. We try and alternate holidays between employees. Are you available to work holidays?
