Responsibilities
- Provide daily care and supervision for animals in kennels, including feeding, watering, and administering medications as directed
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels, common areas, and equipment through regular sanitization and grooming tasks
- Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques and animal handling skills to ensure safety for pets and staff
- Monitor animal behavior closely to identify signs of stress or illness and communicate observations to veterinary staff or management
- Support pet grooming activities such as bathing, brushing, and coat maintenance to keep animals comfortable and healthy
- Engage in team lifting and physical tasks necessary for cleaning supplies or moving animals safely within the facility
Skills
- Experience with pet sitting, dog training, or animal behavior management enhances your ability to connect with pets effectively
- Strong animal handling skills combined with knowledge of animal restraint techniques ensures safety during daily activities
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and provide updates on their pets’ well-being
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and outdoor work comfortably while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
- Knowledge of pet grooming, sanitation protocols, and facility sanitization practices is a plus
- Passion for animal care combined with teamwork orientation ensures a positive environment for pets and staff alike
Pay: From $10.00 per hour
Expected hours: 28.0 per week
