Kennel Technician Jobs in West Des Moines, IA at Second Home
We are seeking a highly motivated Kennel Technician with a passion for animals to join our team! You will be responsible for the overall care and well-being of the animals at our facility. Position is a great part-time or extra side job. Pay is hourly and based off experience, job position, and average amount of hours per week.
We are looking for availability Monday- Friday 1:30pm-4:30 or 7:30pm, Saturday and Sunday morning. The days we need availability for are Sunday-Tuesday and Thursday. Average 10-20 hours a week. 16 Years and older.
Responsibilities:
Handle general care tasks such as feeding, treatments, cleaning, and bathing of the animals
Assist in restraining animals for grooming
Keep records of animal feedings, treatments, and other updates
Engage in play activities and exercise with the animals
Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment
Effectively operate in a team environment
Qualifications:
Previous experience in animal care or other related fields
Passion to help and treat animals in our community
Ability to interact with animals in a calm manner
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Show ability for good attendance
