Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a strong commitment to providing a safe and nurturing environment for pets. As a Kennel Technician, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations of our facility, ensuring the well-being of all animals in our care.
Duties
Provide daily care for dogs and other animals, including feeding, bathing, and exercising.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kennels, play areas, and equipment.
Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff.
Assist with animal restraint during grooming or veterinary procedures as needed.
Engage with pets through playtime and socialization to promote their well-being.
Follow all safety protocols to ensure the safety of both animals and staff.
Assist in training programs for dogs as required.
Support pet owners with information on proper pet care and handling.
Qualifications
Previous experience in animal care or related fields such as kennel work, pet sitting, or veterinary assistance is preferred.
Knowledge of dog training techniques and animal behavior is a plus.
Strong skills in animal restraint and handling to ensure safe interactions with pets.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with pet owners and team members.
A genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
