Job Summary
Kitty Angel Rescue, a 501(c)3 non-profit cat rescue and adoption organization is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cats and possess the experience and skills necessary to provide a safe and nurturing environment for them while they await adoption. As a Kennel Technician, you will be responsible for cleaning the Adoption Center and cages, and providing all care needed to ensure their well-being and comfort while maintaining cleanliness and organization.
Responsibilities
Provide basic care of all cats and their daily needs.
Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to management.
Maintain cleanliness of facility, including the proper cleaning of all cages and equipment to ensure a hygienic environment.
Administer medications as directed.
Animal restraint including the proper handling of fearful and fractious cats.
Clip nails, bathing and brushing as needed.
Ensure all safety protocols are followed to protect both animals and staff.
Experience
Extensive cat care knowledge and experience is required.
Experience in the proper handling and restraint of cats.
Familiarity with veterinary practices, pet grooming, and kennel operations is a plus.
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment as well as independently.
Compassionate attitude towards animals with an understanding of their needs and behaviors.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have your own reliable transportation.
Must be flexible and willing to work weekends.
Willingness to commute to all 3 locations is preferred (Powder Springs Shelter, Hiram PETSMART and Kennesaw PETSMART)

Pay: $12.00 – $15.00 per hour
