Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the care and well-being of animals in our facility. You will work closely with pets of various breeds and sizes, ensuring they receive the attention, exercise, and care they need while also maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Duties
Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising.
Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to the veterinary staff.
Maintain cleanliness in kennels and common areas by performing regular cleaning duties.
Assist with animal restraint during examinations or treatments as needed.
Provide excellent customer service to pet owners, answering questions and providing updates on their pets.
Support dog training activities as directed by trainers or management.
Handle heavy lifting when moving supplies or larger animals safely.
Ensure all safety protocols are followed to maintain a safe environment for both pets and staff.
Requirements
Experience in animal handling or pet care is preferred; previous work in a kennel or veterinary setting is a plus.
Knowledge of dog training techniques is beneficial but not mandatory.
Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for the role.
Familiarity with animal restraint techniques is advantageous.
A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being is essential.
Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.

Pay: $15.50 – $18.00 per hour
