Do you have a love for animals and enjoy working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment? We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician/Aide to join our team! In this role, you’ll play an important part in ensuring the comfort and well-being of our animal patients. You’ll be responsible for maintaining clean and safe environments for our pets, feeding and exercising them, and assisting with general care to keep them happy and healthy.
What You’ll Do:
Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, watering, and exercising
Maintain clean and safe kennel spaces, including cleaning cages, bedding, and common areas
Monitor animals for signs of illness or distress and report any concerns to the veterinary team
Assist with grooming and basic hygiene tasks, such as brushing and nail trimming
Help administer medications as directed by veterinarians or technicians
Assist with transporting animals to and from various areas of the clinic
Support the veterinary team by helping prepare animals for exams or procedures
Ensure the safety of the animals by following proper handling protocols
Maintain accurate records of animal care and behaviors
Communicate with pet owners regarding their pets’ stay and any specific needs
Assist with general clinic upkeep and maintain a clean, organized environment
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience working with animals, preferably in a kennel, shelter, or veterinary setting
Ability to handle animals of all sizes and temperaments with patience and care
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
Compassionate, friendly attitude with a love for animals
Good communication skills, both with team members and pet owners
Basic knowledge of animal care, including feeding, bathing, and exercise
