Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and welfare, ensuring that all pets in our facility receive the highest level of attention and care. This role involves supervising pack play with large and small breeds.
Responsibilities
Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, bathing, and exercising dogs and other pets.
Maintain cleanliness in the kennel area by regularly cleaning and sanitizing kennels, play areas, and equipment.
Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff or management.
Assist with animal restraint during grooming or medical procedures as needed.
Support pet grooming activities, ensuring that all pets are well-groomed and comfortable.
Engage with pet owners to provide updates on their pets’ well-being and address any questions or concerns.
Assist in training dogs as needed, promoting positive behavior.
Qualifications
Experience in animal handling or care is preferred; previous work as a Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician is a plus.
Knowledge of dog training techniques is beneficial.
Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners.
Ability to perform animal restraint safely and compassionately.
Familiarity with pet grooming practices is an advantage.
A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their welfare.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Must be physically capable of lifting and handling animals of various sizes.
