Kennel Technician
Duties:
– Provide excellent customer service to pet owners
– Feed and water animals according to schedules and instructions
– Clean kennels, cages, and other animal living areas
– Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians or supervisors
– Exercise animals and ensure they receive proper physical activity
– Monitor the behavior and health of animals in the facility
– Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing and brushing animals
– Maintain accurate records of animal care and observations
Skills:
– Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with pet owners
– Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and securely
– Knowledge of basic animal care and nutrition
– Ability to lift heavy objects, including bags of pet food or large dogs, as needed
– Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team
