We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. This role is essential in providing high-quality care for animals in a kennel environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal welfare and the ability to handle various breeds and sizes of dogs and other pets. As a Kennel Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, health, and well-being of the animals in our care while maintaining a clean and organized facility.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising pets.
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and common spaces to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff or management.
- Assist with animal restraint during grooming or veterinary procedures as needed.
- Engage with pet owners, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns.
- Support dog training sessions by reinforcing commands and behaviors as instructed.
- Handle heavy lifting when moving animals or cleaning equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of animal care activities and health observations.
