Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kennel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and be committed to ensuring the well-being of our furry guests.
This is a full-time position with the weekend being a split shift so an applicant in the Helena/Pelham/Alabaster area would be best.
Duties
– Provide daily care and attention to animals in the kennel
– Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and animal areas
– Monitor animal behavior for signs of distress or illness
– Assist with bathing of pets as needed
– Assist with animal handling when necessary
-Ability to work in extreme heat/cold when running dogs out for bathroom breaks.
-Ability to lift heavy dogs for bathing.
-Must be willing to have an open flexibility when it comes to scheduling
Experience
– Previous experience in pet sitting, kennel work, or animal care is preferred but not required
Pay: $12.50 – $13.50 per hour
