Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and welfare, providing a safe and nurturing environment for pets in our facility. As a Kennel Technician, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations of our kennel, ensuring that all animals receive proper care, attention, and exercise.
Duties
Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising dogs and other pets.
Maintain cleanliness of the kennel area by regularly cleaning and sanitizing kennels, play areas, and equipment.
Monitor the health and behavior of animals in your care, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff or management.
Assist with animal restraint during grooming or veterinary procedures as needed.
Ensure that all animals have access to fresh water at all times.
Engage with pet owners during drop-off and pick-up times, providing updates on their pets’ well-being.
Support the team in handling various breeds and temperaments of dogs and other animals safely.
Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to animal handling and care.
Requirements
Previous experience in pet sitting or working with animals is preferred.
Strong skills in animal handling and restraint techniques are essential.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when moving animals or cleaning equipment.
Familiarity with kennel operations or experience as a veterinary technician or assistant is a plus.
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members.
A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being is required.
Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $11.00 – $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
