Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. As a Kennel Technician, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and support to our furry guests. This role requires a strong passion for animals and the ability to handle various tasks in a fast-paced environment. Must be extremely reliable with your own reliable transportation. A lot of walking, cleaning, feeding, etc…
Available position: 2pm – 9pm 4 evenings a week. Rotating weekends.
Responsibilities:
– Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, and exercise.
– Clean and maintain kennels, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment
– Administer medications.
– Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to the appropriate personnel
– Handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments with confidence and care
– Provide exceptional customer service to pet owners, addressing their questions and concerns
Skills:
– Previous experience in pet care, veterinary assistance, or a related field is preferred
– Knowledge of basic animal care and handling techniques
– Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
– Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
– Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively with colleagues
– Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for animals
