Who You Are
You’re a reliable, energetic individual with a genuine passion for animal care and well-being. You have excellent observation skills and can quickly recognize changes in animal behavior, health, or comfort levels. You’re comfortable working with dogs of all sizes and breeds, can handle the physical demands of the job, and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Previous experience in animal care, veterinary settings, or pet boarding is preferred but not required—we’ll provide comprehensive training to the right candidate.
Essential Responsibilities
Daily Animal Care
· Provide compassionate daily care for boarding and daycare dogs, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being
· Feed and provide fresh water to animals according to individual dietary requirements and schedules
· Administer medications as directed by veterinary staff or management, following proper procedures and documentation
· Monitor animals for signs of illness, injury, stress, or behavioral changes and report concerns immediately to supervisors
· Exercise dogs through walks, enrichments, supervised play, and outdoor activities
Facility Maintenance & Cleaning
· Maintain clean and sanitary kennel enclosures, play areas, and common spaces through regular cleaning and disinfecting
· Perform thorough daily cleaning of animal holding areas, including scrubbing, disinfecting, and replacing bedding
· Clean and sanitize food and water bowls, toys, and kennel equipment
· Manage laundry duties including washing bedding, towels, and facility linens
· Maintain cleaning supply inventory and communicate restocking needs to management
Customer Service & Operations
· Provide friendly, professional service to pet parents during drop-off and pick-up times
· Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring accurate documentation
· Maintain detailed records of animal behavior, health observations, feeding schedules, and activities
· Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding daily operations and animal care
