Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a strong commitment to providing a safe and nurturing environment for pets. As a Kennel Technician, you will be responsible for the daily care of animals in our facility, ensuring their health and well-being while maintaining cleanliness and organization.
Responsibilities
Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, medicating and exercising dogs/cats.
Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and common spaces to ensure a hygienic environment.
Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff or management.
Assist with animal restraint during veterinary procedures as needed.
Reinforce positive behaviors through effective handling techniques.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about their animals’ needs and well-being.
Perform heavy lifting tasks associated with moving animals or cleaning equipment.
Ensure all safety protocols are followed to protect both the animals and staff.
Experience
Previous experience in animal care or related fields such as dog training, veterinary technician, or veterinary assistant is preferred.
Familiarity with pet care is a plus.
Strong skills in animal handling and restraint are essential for this role.
Excellent customer service skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.00 – $12.50 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
