Kennel Technician Jobs in East Providence, RI at Paradise Paws
We are looking to add a high quality experienced candidate to our ever expanding crew. Applicants MUST have 2 years of experience in the veterinary field, or kennel management.
About the position:
Monitor the dogs at play in playgroups and safety of all dogs in the entire facility
Create safe and fun playgroups/ environments
Understand dog body language and play behavior to help aid in the safety of the dogs.
Feed and Medicate with proper tools and equipment
Clean and sanitize with proper tools and equipment
Greet customers when dogs are checking in and out
Communicating with co-workers and customers about their dogs day, policies, any questions they have, etc.
Front Desk/Clerical work
We host a 30 day probationary period just to ensure we are a good fit.
Qualifications/Skills:
Must be 18+ years old
Be able to remain calm in a high stress environment
Have a strong leadership personality while monitoring playgroups
Efficiently understand and complete directions/tasks
Strong communication skills
Able to multitask well
Able to maintain a positive attitude in stressful/fast-paced periods

We are looking to fill positions:
Kennel Tech: Please have open availability when applying for this position. The position usually starts at 6am. Schedules range from 3 to 4 days per week at 40 hours per week. Must be able to work long shifts!

Other information:
Holidays are not always required but are sometimes needed. Around 2 weeks before the holiday we will post what positions will need to be filled and what times. At that point the shifts will be up for dibs. Any shift not covered will have a person be assigned to it.
A key quality we are looking for is the ability to take direction and follow through to completion.
We host all breeds. We also host dog aggressive dogs for isolated care. No human aggressive dogs are allowed in the facility.

Pay: $19.00 – $20.00 per hour
