Job Overview:

Duties:
– Provide daily care and attention to animals in our facility, including feeding, watering, and exercising
– Clean and maintain kennels, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for the animals
– Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to the appropriate staff
– Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming
– Administer medications as directed by veterinary staff
– Assist with animal restraint during examinations or procedures
– Maintain accurate records of animal care, including feeding schedules, medications administered, and any observed changes in behavior or health
Requirements:
– Previous experience in pet care, kennel management, or veterinary settings is preferred
– Knowledge of animal behavior and basic medical care is a plus
– Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
– Ability to handle animals of various sizes and temperaments with patience and compassion
– Basic computer skills for record keeping purposes
– Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting heavy objects and standing for long periods of time
