Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the care and well-being of animals in our facility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal welfare and possess strong skills in dog handling and customer service. You will work closely with pets, ensuring they receive the attention, exercise, and care they need while maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Work Days
Saturday and Sunday and some weeknights. This is a back and forth position you will not be here all day long.
Duties
Provide daily care for dogs, including feeding, grooming, and exercising.
Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment.
Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to management or veterinary staff.
Assist with customer service duties, including checking in/out pets and addressing client inquiries.
Support dog training sessions as needed, reinforcing positive behaviors.
Handle heavy lifting when moving supplies or assisting with larger animals.
Ensure all safety protocols are followed to protect both animals and staff.
Requirements
Previous experience in dog handling or animal care is preferred.
Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners.
Knowledge of basic dog training techniques is a plus.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role.
Experience as a veterinary technician or similar position is advantageous.
Passion for animal welfare and commitment to providing exceptional pet care.
Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.

Pay: $16.00 – $17.00 per hour
