Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care. As a Kennel Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of animals in our care while maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Responsibilities
Maintain cleanliness in kennels and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment.
Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to management.
Handle heavy lifting tasks related to moving supplies and equipment.
Support adopters with information regarding pet care practices.
Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising.
Requirements:
Previous experience in animal care or related fields such as veterinary assistance or pet grooming is preferred.​
Strong skills in dog handling and an understanding of various breeds’ behaviors.​
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for the role.​
A background in dog training or pet sitting is a plus.​
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with pet adopters and team members.​

Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 – $19.00 per hour
