Full-Time Summer Kennel Technician

What You’ll Be Doing
Our
Kennel Technicians
are essential to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment for our patients. You’ll be working behind the scenes to make sure every pet is cared for with compassion and every team member has what they need to succeed.
Daily Responsibilities:
Walk, feed, and provide fresh water for hospitalized and boarded dogs and cats
Clean and disinfect kennels, runs, cages, and common areas
Assist with laundry, stocking, and general clinic cleaning
Restock exam rooms, surgical areas, and treatment stations
Support veterinary assistants and technicians with basic patient care tasks
Monitor animal behavior and report concerns to medical staff
Provide gentle, compassionate handling of all pets in our care
What We’re Looking For
You don’t need prior veterinary experience to apply—but
reliability, work ethic, and a love for animals
are a must. We’ll train the right person who shows initiative and a willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience working with animals (in a clinic, shelter, kennel, or pet care setting) is a plus
Ability to safely handle dogs and cats of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments
Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
Ability to take direction and work well as part of a team
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a physically active role
Must be at least 18 years old
Schedule & Availability
Full-time hours (including weekends and holidays)
This is a seasonal summer position, with potential for continued employment for top performers
