Responsibilities and Duties
Handle both dogs and cats, including large breeds
Cleaning and maintenance of kennels, general boarding areas, bowls, and kitchen
Feeding, walking, and watering pets
Administering medications
Observe and report well-being of boarding patients
Chart feeding, medication administration, and eliminations
Monitoring for any abnormalities
Keeping track of pets’ belongings
Bathing pets, expressing anal glands, cleaning ears, and trimming nails
Electronic recordkeeping
Maintaining cleanliness of clinic
Maintaining outside walking area
Treating clients and co-workers in a professional, courteous manner
Work in a fast paced environment
Assisting other coworkers and performing other duties as needed
Physical Requirements
Lift patients and carry equipment up to 50 pounds
Lift patients and carry equipment over 50 pounds with a partner
Adequate stamina for a busy work day with lots of standing and walking
Ability to work in all weather conditions
