Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for animals and the ability to provide exceptional care in a kennel environment. This role is essential in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of the animals in our care while maintaining a clean and organized facility.
Duties
Provide daily care for dogs, including feeding, grooming, and exercising.
Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas by performing regular cleaning tasks.
Monitor animal behavior and health, reporting any concerns to management.
Assist with dog training and socialization activities as needed.
Handle animals safely and effectively, ensuring their comfort and security during their stay.
Interact with pet owners, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
Assist with heavy lifting of supplies, equipment, and animals as required.
Experience
Previous experience in animal handling or care is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
Familiarity with dog training techniques or pet sitting experience is a plus.
Background in veterinary assistance or as a veterinary technician is beneficial but not required.
Strong customer service skills are essential for effective communication with pet owners.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in a physically demanding environment is necessary.
