Tri-County Veterinary Services is seeking a summer part-time Kennel / Hospital Attendant.
As a Kennel Attendant at TCVS, your primary function would be to maintain a safe and sanitary facility for all patients and their owners as well as providing outstanding care for all patients. This position does consist of a lot of cleaning duties. Primary job duties include daily care of in house patients, feeding, watering, and cleaning of kennels, kennel area, and hospital inside and outside. Employees of TCVS are required to be physically able to perform job duties, reliable, compassionate, and willing to learn.
General duties include(but are not limited to):
-Maintain overall cleanliness and sanitation of the clinic and barn, inside and outside
-Cleaning and sanitizing kennels daily
-Assist Veterinarians and Veterinary Technicians as needed
-Laundry
-Sweeping and mopping
-Maintain patient care while in clinic
-Bathing small and large animals as needed (including cleaning ears, trimming nails, and expressing anal glands)
-Complete all other tasks as assigned
-Ability to handle small and large animals, including aggressive or unruly patients
-Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, etc. for extended periods of time
-Must be able to lift and carry 50+ pounds with assistance
Salary: Based on experience
Current TCVS Business Hours – M 8-5, T 8-3, W 8-3, Th 8-5, F 8-2.
Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal
Pay: $9.00 – $10.00 per hour
