Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care for animals in a kennel environment. This role involves ensuring the health and well-being of pets while maintaining a clean and safe environment. The Kennel Technician will work closely with both animals and their owners, making it essential to have strong communication skills and a passion for animal care.
This position is W2 Plus tips, Monday-Friday only, NO WEEKENDS and 6am-2pm.
Duties
Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, watering, medications and walking pets.
Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the kennel, including animal housing and common areas.
Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to management staff.
Ensure proper handling of animals during their stay at the kennel.
Maintain accurate records of animal care and treatment.
Engage with pet owners to provide updates on their pets’ well-being.
Skills
Proficiency in animal handling techniques, ensuring safety for both pets and staff.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail in animal care.
