Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and be committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for pets. As a Kennel Technician, you will play a vital role in the daily operations of our facility, ensuring the health and well-being of all animals in our care.
Responsibilities
Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising pets.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kennels and common areas.
Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff.
Assist with animal restraint during grooming or veterinary procedures.
Handle various breeds of dogs and cats with confidence and care.
Ensure all animals receive appropriate socialization and stimulation.
Maintain accurate records of animal care activities and treatments.
Collaborate with team members to create a positive environment for both pets and staff.
Experience
Prior experience in animal care or handling is preferred but not required.
Skills in pet grooming, pet sitting, or veterinary technician roles are advantageous.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed when handling larger breeds or equipment.
Familiarity with kennel operations and animal restraint techniques is beneficial.
A strong understanding of animal behavior and effective dog handling techniques is essential.

Pay: $12.00 – $13.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 35 per week
