Hillside Veterinary Associates is seeking a Kennel Technician to join our team! Our Kennel staff is dedicated to the care and comfort of our patients while providing critical support to the veterinary team.
In this role, you will focus on patient husbandry and care as well as general housekeeping duties throughout the hospital. You will provide meals and walks to boarding patients, administer medication, and monitor for any medical or behavioral concerns while providing detailed documentation about your observations. You will ensure kennels, common spaces and treatment areas are sanitized and well stocked with supplies.
This position is ideal for those who are self-driven, detail-oriented, enjoy cleaning and organization, and are committed to contributing to a team-focused environment. There are also opportunities to train as a Veterinary Assistant for the right candidate.
This is a flexible full-time or part-time position, with the option of 4/10 or 5/8 scheduling and availibility needed Monday through Friday and rotating Saturdays.
Full-time benefits and compensation**:
Compensation: $10.00-13.50 per hour, for each hour worked*

Kennel or animal handling experience preferred

Hillside Veterinary Associates in Covington, LA, is a welcoming place for people and their pets. We practice Fear-Free techniques and take veterinary medicine to the next level without sacrificing quality patient care. We are a busy 3-doctor practice and our new building includes a surgery suite and ICU recovery ward, a dedicated surgical prep room, an additional exam room, a cat room with luxury condos, storage, and an office. In addition, we have updated our existing surgery area to a new and improved dental suite.
