Kennel Technician Jobs in Austin, TX at Five Star Canine Boarding
We are seeking a dedicated Kennel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and be responsible for maintaining a safe and clean environment for our furry guests. We are currently searching for someone that can work one weekend day, plus 2 or 3 half day shifts during the week. Hours will be between 15 and 25 hours per week.
Duties
– Provide daily care for animals including feeding, watering, and exercising
– Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and common areas
– Monitor animal behavior and report any health concerns to the supervisor
– Assist with bathing, grooming, and administering medications as needed
– Interact with pet owners and provide excellent customer service
– Handle animals with care and compassion while ensuring their safety
Skills
– Experience in animal handling and pet care
– Knowledge of veterinary assistant duties is a plus
– Ability to restrain animals safely when necessary
– Proficiency in pet grooming techniques is advantageous
– Capability to perform heavy lifting when required
– Previous experience in kennel operations or pet sitting is beneficial
– Strong animal care skills coupled with excellent customer service abilities
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.00 – $14.00 per hour
