We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the care and well-being of animals in our facility. You will ensure that all pets receive proper attention, grooming, and care while maintaining a clean and safe environment. This position is ideal for individuals who have a passion for animal welfare and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, bathing, and exercising.
Maintain cleanliness in kennels and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment.
Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to management or veterinary staff.
Assist with pet grooming and bathing as needed.
Engage with pet owners to provide excellent customer service and address any questions or concerns.
Handle animals safely and effectively, ensuring their comfort and safety during interactions.
Perform heavy lifting as necessary when moving supplies or assisting with larger animals.
Experience
Previous experience in animal handling or care is preferred but not required; we are willing to train the right candidate.
Skills in pet grooming, pet sitting, or working in a kennel environment are advantageous.
Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and engage with animals of various sizes safely.
