Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and the ability to provide a safe and nurturing environment for pets. As a Kennel Technician, you will be responsible for the daily care of animals in our facility, ensuring their well-being and comfort while also assisting with various tasks related to pet care.
Duties
Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, bathing, and medicating.
Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment.
Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff or management.
Support veterinary staff by assisting with basic medical procedures when necessary.
Interact with pet owners in a friendly and professional manner.
Participate in training programs for animal handling and customer service to enhance skills.
Experience
Previous experience in animal care is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with dog, cat, and small exotic handling techniques and animal behavior is beneficial.
Experience in a veterinary clinic setting is a plus.
Good customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners.
A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being is essential.
