Job Overview
Location: Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) Lackland and Chapman Annex, Texas
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 06:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with potential for adjustments within a 40-hour work week.
Job Summary:
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in Military Working Dog kennels to ensure a healthy environment for the dogs and support mission readiness. This role involves regular sanitization, equipment checks, and adherence to safety and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct weekly sanitization of 26 kennel facilities using veterinary-approved methods.
Ensure all equipment is checked for safety, including securing fittings and checking for leaks.
Use provided cleaning solutions (soap, bleach, disinfectants) to clean kennels, removing all waste and sanitizing surfaces.
Manage waste disposal correctly, ensuring no environmental contamination.
Follow strict safety protocols, including the use of protective gear.
Qualifications
Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Must pass Canine Handling and Kennel Sanitization Course (Company paid training, 5 days)
Ability to follow detailed cleaning and safety procedures.
Commitment to maintaining a professional appearance and adhering to base security and conduct rules.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and move cleaning equipment and waste.
Stand for extended periods and work in potentially wet conditions.
