Responsibilities
- Assist with kennel cleaning, sanitation, and organization to maintain a hygienic environment for all animals
- Handle dogs with care, ensuring proper restraint and behavior management
- Throw birds for exercise and enrichment in designated outdoor or indoor areas, promoting physical activity and mental stimulation.
- Aid in record keeping by documenting animal behaviors, treatments, feeding schedules, and other relevant information
- Assist with animal intake and discharge procedures, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to safety protocol.
Requirements
- Prior kennel experience or veterinary technician experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for animal care is essential
- Knowledge of animal handling techniques, restraint methods, and basic pet care practices
- Ability to perform cleaning duties efficiently while maintaining high standards of hygiene
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Willingness to learn about animal behavior, welfare standards.
