We are looking to grow our team!!
We are a busy family owned practice in Irvine. Our kennel force is a power house. We work well together and make a big difference in the lives of our patients and in the rescue community. Many of us have been here many years and enjoy teaching our newer team members as much as they want to learn. We have regular meetings and quarterly team building events.
Primary responsibilities are but not limited to the following:
Caring for the dogs and cats in our care, sanitizing their cages, laundry, hospital maintenance, assisting our technicians and doctors with restraint for a variety of treatments and procedures. Recovering patients, assisting with medical treatments, monitoring patients and more.
Bathing, trimming nails, cleaning ears, expressing glands, walking and feeding. Giving love and affection to our long-term patients. Working as a team. Setting up and reading fecal exams. Learning as much as possible. This a field of passion and service with endless opportunities to learn about veterinary healthcare.
Experience is preferred due to the fact that we are a busy practice and our kennel force team does a lot of vet tech assisting. Our team requires reliability and integrity. We rely on one another as much as our patients rely on us.
Must be able to work holidays and weekends. We also offer on-call shifts to pick up extra hours.
Currently hiring for Thursday 8a – 5p , Friday 8a – 5p and Saturday 6;30a – 3:30p
This position requires that you spend 90-100% of the time on your feet and in motion, lifting 50# regularly and up to 80-100# occasionally. Regular contact with pets is to be expected. It is required that you are able to communicate and work well both as an individual and as a team.
