The Diggs at Paws & Claws is looking for a reliable, responsible, and compassionate Kennel & Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team. This is a hands-on position for someone who understands that working with animals is rewarding, but also requires hard work, attention to detail, cleanliness, patience, and responsibility.
Our team plays an important role in making sure every dog in our care is safe, healthy, comfortable, and well cared for.
What You’ll Do
Your day will include:
- Supervising dogs during daycare and group play
- Monitoring dogs closely and recognizing changes in behavior
- Safely handling dogs of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels
- Feeding, watering, and caring for boarding pets according to instructions
- Cleaning and sanitizing kennels, yards, play areas, and common areas
- Maintaining a safe, calm, and structured environment
- Helping with daily kennel and daycare routines
- Communicating concerns about a pet’s behavior, health, or wellbeing to leadership
- Working as a team to keep the facility running safely and efficiently

Be Prepared for a Physical Job
This is an active, hands-on position. You should be comfortable with:
- Being on your feet for extended periods
- Frequent cleaning and sanitizing
- Bending, lifting, walking, and standing
- Working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Handling dogs that may be energetic, strong, nervous, or challenging
Previous kennel, veterinary, shelter, grooming, daycare, or animal-care experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person.
Scheduling Requirements

Our shifts have firm start and end times.
Available shifts include:
6:00 AM – 2:00 PM (2 positions open)
1:00 PM – 7:30 PM (1 position open)
- Weekday availability is required
- Rotating weekends are required
- Weekend and holiday availability is required
- Schedule flexibility may be necessary based on the needs of the facility
