Join our dynamic team as a Kennel Attendant, where your passion for animal care and commitment to providing exceptional pet experiences will shine! In this vital role, you will help ensure the well-being, cleanliness, and safety of our furry guests while supporting the daily operations of our pet care facility.
We are currently hiring for morning and evening kennel attendant shifts . Applicants must be available to work weekends and holidays, as these are some of our busiest times caring for our guests.
This is a paid position offering an exciting opportunity to work closely with animals, expand your animal handling skills, and become part of a compassionate, team-oriented pet care community.
Duties
- Provide attentive care by feeding, watering, and monitoring dogs throughout their stay.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment by cleaning kennels, cages, play yards, and common areas.
- Safely handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments using proper restraint techniques and knowledge of animal behavior.
- Assist with basic grooming, including bathing, brushing, and maintaining overall hygiene.
- Prepare and organize kennels to ensure each pet is comfortable and secure.
- Supervise outdoor playgroups and clean outdoor play areas.
- Perform light to moderate lifting as part of daily cleaning and kennel setup.
- Communicate professionally and compassionately with pet owners regarding their pets’ care and behavior.
- Work closely with team members to provide exceptional care and maintain efficient daily operations.
Qualifications
MUST LOVE DOGS!
We’re looking for candidates who have:
- Any experience in animal care, pet sitting, kennel work, veterinary care, daycare, or other hands-on animal environments is a plus.
- Strong dog handling and restraint skills.
- Any background in animal training (dog training or other animal training experience is a plus).
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, especially regarding cleanliness, safety, and animal health.
- A positive attitude and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Any previous management or leadership experience is a plus.
- The ability to perform physical work, including standing for extended periods and safely lifting as needed.
- Flexibility to work morning or evening shifts, including weekends and holidays.
