Kennel Attendant Jobs in La Puente, CA at LA Quality Pet Care
Job Duties:
– Relied upon to directly assist Veterinarian Technicians with all their tasks
– Provide daily care and support for animals in the kennel facility
– Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and common areas
– Feed and water animals according to their specific dietary needs
– Exercise and socialize animals to promote their physical and mental well-being
– Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff
– Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming
– Maintain accurate records of animal care and treatment
Qualifications:
– Previous experience working with animals in a professional setting is preferred
– Knowledge of animal restraint techniques and safe handling practices
– Familiarity with basic pet grooming procedures is a plus
– Understanding of veterinary terminology and procedures is beneficial
– Ability to lift heavy objects, such as bags of food or large dogs, as needed
– Excellent customer service skills to interact with pet owners and answer inquiries
– Strong attention to detail to ensure the cleanliness and organization of the kennel facility
