Position Overview: The Kennel Attendant is a vital role responsible for providing daily care for our boarded animals and assisting with kennel maintenance. Responsibilities include cleaning, bathing, grooming, exercising, feeding animals, cleaning cages, administering medication, and monitoring behavior. The role involves interaction with the clinical team and clients, supporting a customer-focused environment.
Location: Spring Hill, KS
Job Responsibilities:
Provide daily care for boarded animals
Perform bathing, grooming, exercising, feeding, medication administration, and behavior monitoring
Assist with kennel maintenance and cleaning
Report changes in animal behavior, health, or concerns to Vet or Hospital Manager
Maintain animal records (weight, physical condition, treatments, medications, food intake)
Perform other duties as assigned by the Doctor, Hospital Manager, or Kennel Manager
Wash, dry, and fold laundry
Must be able to lift 50 lbs or more, and stand or stoop for extended periods
Travel may be required
Skills and
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or relevant experience
Previous experience with animals preferred
Customer service attitude
Organizational skills
Team-oriented and good communication skills
