Busy veterinary hospital seeking a part-time kennel attendant.
Veterinary experience a plus. Love of animals and a friendly personality is a must!
The pets that board with us are our family and we treat them as such. We are a Fear Free certified practice and do everything we can to alleviate fear, anxiety and stress in all our patients and boarders.
Must be available to work different shifts- weekend and holiday availability required.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
– Feeding and medicating cats and dogs
– Supervising individual outdoor playtime
– Providing enrichment items and activities to our boarders
– Letting dogs out several times per shift
– Cleaning and sanitizing kennels, outdoor areas, and the hospital
– Animal handling/ restraint
– Trimming nails and obtaining intake vitals with assistance
– Bathing and drying cats and dogs
– Washing, drying, and folding laundry
– Maintaining an organized, safe, clean, and low stress environment for our boarders
– Reviewing paperwork with clients
– Communicating with clients as requested through calls, texts, or photos
– Intake and discharge of boarders
– Alerting management to any emotional or medical issues that arise with boarders
– Other tasks and responsibilities as indicated by management
