We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for animals and a strong commitment to providing excellent care. Must be able to work in a fast paced job, multi task, and have good people skills…..As a Kennel Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of pets in our facility, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting the overall operations of our kennel.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising dogs and cats.
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and common spaces to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to the management
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with potential adopters
- Help with heavy lifting tasks such as moving supplies or large animals when necessary.
Experience
- Previous experience in animal care or working in a kennel setting is preferred but not mandatory
- Strong customer service skills are essential for interacting customers
- Knowledge of animal behavior and training techniques is beneficial for ensuring the safety and comfort of all animals in our care.
