Job Summary

In this absolutely vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for animals in our care, supporting office and other kennel staff, and ensuring the highest standards of animal handling and kennel cleanliness. Responsibilities
- Provide daily care for animals housed in kennels, including petting, watering, cleaning, and monitoring health status.
- Maintain accurate records of animal care and incidents, using our kennel software and administrative tools such as Microsoft Office.
- Handle animals with patience and confidence, including dog handling and general animal restraint techniques.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners and staff at the front desk when necessary
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness and sanitation within kennels to prevent infection, sickness or disease transmission.
- Support administrative tasks such as updating client records and coordinating pet care services with staff as needed
Experience
- Previous kennel experience background required; enthusiasm for learning is essential.
- Familiarity with kennel and animal care industry terminology is advantageous.
- Knowledge of animal anatomy is beneficial.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications enhances your ability to succeed in this role.
- Prior experience in a pet boarding, daycare and/or grooming setting or with dog training programs will support your success as a Kennel Attendant.
- Strong communication abilities are vital for interacting professionally with team members.

Pay: $12.00 – $14.00 per hour
