An excellent position for someone looking to get their foot in the door in the veterinary field. Our kennel attendants are responsible for cleaning and caring for in hospital patients. They are expected to monitor vital signs of patients recovering from surgery, extubate patients, walk dogs, keep cages and kennels clean, restrain animals for procedures such as suture removals and blood draws, and keep the kennel and run areas clean and tidy. There is a lot of opportunity to learn and expand your skills if you are willing to work. Kennel attendants begin their training on the evening shift, scheduled from 5pm to 10pm, or until all evening tasks are finished, not to remain beyond 11:30pm.
We are a no drama, fun clinic. We are a fast-paced, seven doctor practice serving both large and small animal clients. Many of our staff started in kennels and worked their way up through assisting, all the way to CVT. We want to help you to create a veterinary career.
Prior veterinary practice experience not necessary but it is helpful. Prior animal handling experience a must. A baseline knowledge of dog and cat behavior strongly recommended.

Pay: $15.55 – $16.50 per hour
