Pay: $15.00 per hour Job Type: Part-time
Shift and Schedule: Weekdays, Weekends, Holidays
Mon – Fri AM – 8am to 4pm
Mon – Fri PM = 4pm to 8pm
Sat – Sun AM = 8am to 2pm
Sat – Sun PM = 2pm to 8pm
We are a small family owned veterinary hospital and boarding facility in Ardmore. We are a busy AHAA certified Philadelphia Main Line veterinary practice, looking for a highly motivated individual to join our part-time kennel staff. Kennel attendants are expected to care for the well-being (walking, feeding, cleaning, etc.) of clients’ pets while they are boarding with us. You will also be responsible for cleaning (disinfecting tables, vacuuming, mopping, removing trash, etc.) the veterinary hospital after closing.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Walking and feeding small animals
- Cleaning and sanitizing cages – including scrubbing stall floors and bending to reach in cages to wipe out
- Simple bathing of dogs (very rarely cats)
- Report any health issues or concerns to the technician or veterinarian
- Trimming dog’s nails
- Clean and disinfect kennel/hospital and grooming space daily
- Maintaining a clean environment
- General cleaning of a veterinary office after closing (disinfecting tables, vacuuming, mopping, removing trash, etc.)
- Distribute medications to animals
- Wash, dry and fold towels
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Skills and Qualifications
- Availability to work weekend and holidays
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. occasionally
- Ability to lift and carry/move 25 lbs. regularly
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment (this job requires both physical strength and flexibility)
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and veterinary staff
- Ability to keep areas clean and organized
- A strong interest in pet care and desire to work with animals
- Understanding of animal behavior (preferred but not required)
- Willingness to learn about dog and cat care
- Solid understanding of customer service
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Veterinary Hospital located in Ardmore, PA 19003:
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work for scheduled shiftsOr must be planning to relocate before starting work
