Kennel Attendant Jobs in Salem, IA at Dana’s Dogs LLC
Responsible for the daily care of dogs including feeding, watering, cleaning kennels, exercising animals, monitoring their health, providing basic grooming, and ensuring their overall well-being while maintaining a clean and safe environment, as well as interacting with clients to check animals in and out.
Duties:
Cleaning – sanitize kennels and general play areas
Clean, disinfect and maintain kennels, cages, runs and stalls as often as is necessary to ensure no cages or kennels are soiled and odors are not apparent. Perform general cleaning in other areas to control the spread of disease. Wash and sterilize water and food bowls.
Animal care:
Feeding animals according to their dietary needs and special instructions
Providing fresh water
Cleaning and sanitizing kennels and animal living areas, including picking up waste
Walking and exercising animals
Managing playgroups of dogs, ensuring a safe environment, monitoring dog behavior for signs of stress, illness, or aggression
Playing with animals to provide socialization and mental stimulation
Monitoring animal behavior and reporting any changes or concerns
Taking quality photos of the dogs to send to clients and post on social media
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $10.00 – $12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 15 per week
